Terms

These terms cover the use of Chabad Branded Website by the centers that run their sites on it and by the people who visit those sites.

For centers

A center's site, records and content are the center's. The platform hosts them, keeps nightly backups, and provides the tools; it does not own or reuse a center's data. A center may export its data at any time and may leave at any time; a domain bought through the platform is registered in the center's name and can be moved elsewhere on request.

Centers agree to use the platform lawfully, to send email only to people who have agreed to receive it, and to keep their admin sign-ins to the people they trust.

Plans

Every center starts with fourteen free days, with no card. After that it chooses one of two paid plans, Website or Website + HQ, at the price shown when it signs up and under Settings › Billing. Website + HQ includes 25,000 marketing emails a month; a month that sends more is charged $18 for each additional 50,000, on its own invoice at the start of the next month. Without a plan, the site shows a holding page to visitors (the admin stays open and nothing is deleted) until one is chosen. A plan can be cancelled at any time.

Centers that started before October 27, 2026 keep the terms they joined on. Their free plan builds the site, publishes it on its chabadwebsite.com address, takes donations, sends up to 500 marketing emails a month and has a smaller assistant allowance. Their paid plan ($29 a month billed yearly, or $36 a month) adds the center's own domain, email to its whole list, the full assistant allowance and the add-ons. If they cancel, the site goes back to the free plan and nothing is deleted.

Referral months are credited once the referred center's first payment goes through, and have no cash value.

A center that sends email people did not ask for, or uses the platform for anything unlawful, can have its sending paused or its site taken down.

For visitors

When you register, order or give through a center's site, your agreement is with that center. Refunds and questions about an event, order or gift go to the center.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms. Domain purchases are charged at the registrar's price plus the card fee, and are not refundable once the registration completes.

Service providers

The platform runs on outside providers, each under its own terms: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Stripe (payments), Resend and Amazon Web Services (email), Twilio (WhatsApp) and Anthropic (AI). The privacy policy says what each one handles.

The service

The platform is provided as is, with care but without guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Liability is limited to the fees a center paid for the service in the preceding twelve months.
